CLASSIC CLUB SANDWICH

This classic New York club sandwich recipe is layered with smoky ham, roasted turkey, smoked bacon, crisp lettuce, juicy tomatoes, cheddar cheese, and mayonnaise spread on every slice of this triple toasted bread extravaganza.  My family and I just love this tasty sandwich and I think I even have my picky son hooked on them.

Everyone loves a great sandwich!  They sure seem to hit the mark for those weekend lunches when you need to pull it together in short order so you can finish the rest of your chores.  This sandwich, Reuben Sandwich, Monte Cristo Sandwich, and Hot Brown are just a few of our many favorites

HOW TO MAKE A CLASSIC CLUB SANDWICH

Start by toasting the bread then lightly butter the side of each bread slice.  Then spread some mayo on one side of each of those slices.  Now layer turkey, tomato slices, and cheddar on one of those slices.  Then place another piece of the toast on top of that mayonnaise side up.  Now layer with ham, bacon and lettuce.  Then top with another slice of bread mayonnaise side down. Stick toothpicks in the four sides of the top bread slice (see picture).  Then slice into triangular pieces with a sharp or serrated knife.  Or better yet use an electric knife if you have one.  Serve with potato chips, French fries, potato salad, soup, or coleslaw.
