For this Churrasco recipe, you’ll need the following ingredients:
- 2 pounds (900g) skirt steak
- 1/4 cup (60ml) olive oil
- 1/4 cup (60ml) soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons (30ml) red wine vinegar
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon (5g) ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon (5g) paprika
- 1 teaspoon (5g) dried oregano
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
- Chimichurri sauce (for serving)
Marinating the Skirt Steak
- In a bowl, whisk together olive oil, soy sauce, red wine vinegar, minced garlic, ground cumin, paprika, dried oregano, salt, and pepper until well combined.
- Place the skirt steak in a shallow dish or resealable plastic bag.
- Pour the marinade over the steak, ensuring it is evenly coated. Cover or seal the dish/bag and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight, to allow the flavors to penetrate the meat.
