1️⃣ Prep the hot dogs: Wrap each hot dog in cooked bacon, then layer with a thin layer of seasoned ground beef. Add a slice of cheese around the beef and secure with your hands. Insert a skewer into each.
2️⃣ Make the batter: In a bowl, whisk together cornmeal, flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Add milk and egg, mixing until smooth.
3️⃣ Heat the oil: Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C).
4️⃣ Coat the corn dogs: Dip each hot dog into the batter, ensuring it’s fully coated. Let excess batter drip off before frying.
5️⃣ Fry until golden: Carefully place the corn dogs in the hot oil and fry for 3-4 minutes or until golden brown and crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.
