Garlic Butter Shrimp Pasta

1. Cook the Pasta:
– Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
– Cook the pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

2. Prepare the Shrimp:
– In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat.
– Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes (if using). Sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
– Add the shrimp to the skillet, season with salt and pepper, and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until they turn pink and opaque.
– Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.

3. Make the Garlic Butter Sauce:
– In the same skillet, add the chicken broth or white wine, scraping up any bits from the bottom.
– Bring to a simmer and cook for 2-3 minutes until slightly reduced.
– Stir in the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter and lemon juice. Let the butter melt and the sauce thicken slightly.

4. Combine Pasta and Shrimp:
– Return the cooked shrimp to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce.
– Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss until everything is well combined and heated through.

5. Serve:
– Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and grated Parmesan cheese, if desired.
– Serve immediately and enjoy!
