- Freeze the Bites: Place the mac ‘n’ cheese balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Freeze them for at least 1-2 hours. This step ensures the bites hold their shape during frying.
Step 3: Prepare the Coating
- Set Up the Breading Station: Arrange three bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with breadcrumbs.
- Bread the Bites: Roll each frozen mac ‘n’ cheese bite in flour, then dip in the egg, and finally coat with breadcrumbs. For extra crunch, you can dip them in egg and breadcrumbs a second time.
