Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef
8 oz noodles (lo mein or spaghetti)
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon ginger, minced
1/2 cup beef broth
1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
1 tablespoon cornstarch
2 tablespoons water
4 green onions, chopped (reserve some for garnish)
1 tablespoon sesame oil
Sesame seeds (optional, for garnish)
Directions:
Cook the Noodles: Cook the noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
Prepare the Sauce: In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, minced ginger, beef broth, and hoisin sauce. Set aside.
Cook the Beef: In a large skillet or wok, heat the sesame oil over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula as it cooks. Drain any excess fat.
Add the Sauce: Pour the sauce mixture into the skillet with the ground beef. Stir to combine and bring to a simmer.
Thicken the Sauce: In a small bowl, mix the cornstarch and water to create a slurry. Add the slurry to the skillet, stirring constantly, until the sauce thickens.
Combine with Noodles: Add the cooked noodles and chopped green onions to the skillet. Toss to coat the noodles evenly with the sauce and beef mixture.
Serve: Garnish with reserved green onions and sesame seeds if desired. Serve hot and enjoy!
