Instructions:
1. Preheat the Oven:
a. Preheat your oven according to the pizza crust package instructions or to 425°F (220°C) if using homemade pizza dough.
2. Prepare the Pizza Crust:
a. Roll out the pizza dough or place the pre-made pizza crust on a baking sheet or pizza stone.
3. Cook the Sausage:
a. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the breakfast sausage, breaking it apart into crumbles. Cook until it’s browned and cooked through.
4. Make the Sausage Gravy:
a. Sprinkle the cooked sausage with 2 tablespoons of all-purpose flour. Stir to coat the sausage with the flour.
b. Gradually pour in the whole milk, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens into a creamy gravy. This should take about 2-3 minutes.
c. Season the sausage gravy with salt and black pepper to taste. Remove it from the heat.
