Homemade pancakes

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • Vegetable oil or butter, for greasing the griddle

Instructions:

1. Mix Dry Ingredients

  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until well combined.

2. Combine Wet Ingredients

  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the buttermilk, egg, and melted butter until smooth and well combined.

3. Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients

  • Pour the wet ingredients into the bowl of dry ingredients.
  • Gently stir until just combined, being careful not to overmix. A few lumps in the batter are okay.
